Christmas Day is now behind us and we look to the beginning of a new year on the calendar. Many will be making resolutions and some are hoping for new beginnings. The Bible tells us that "if any man be in Christ he is a new creation: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new."
Looking back at 2018, it has been quite a year for HERE AM I Ministries with the beginning of the Bible School at Bugiri, Uganda. It has truly been a work of God to accomplish such a thing. It is something that had been on my heart for some time, but for it to come about the way it did is testimony of how God works in and through His people to accomplish things. I just want to thank God for His goodness and praise Him for allowing me to be a part of HIS work. He has joined us with good like-minded brethren there in East Africa. (Kenya; Uganda; Tanzania; Rwanda and Burundi) Looking ahead for 2019: Tickets are booked and plans are being made for my next trip to East Africa. I leave here on January 15th with the first stop to be in Kenya. I will spend the remainder of January in Kenya with Anaclet Musyoka. We will be going to his home area for ministry; traveling to the coastal area and to south Kenya all in service to our Lord before going into Uganda in February. February will have us teaching at HERE AM I Bible School and hopefully, Lord willing, going to Rwanda and the DRCongo to do some chlorine/water ministry with the CPUs (Chlorine Producing Units) from Safe Water International Ministries (or S.W.I.M.), while sharing and teaching the Word of God. I’m also hoping to return to Camp Bidibidi in northern Uganda. Bidbidi is a Sudanese refugee camp housing more than 350,000 refugees. A lot of ministry can happen there. In March, we will return to Kenya for more ministry of water/chlorine. I will also be teaching a conference in Amagoro area. I believe this will be a 3 day conference of teaching the Word and encouraging church leaders to teach the Word of God to edify the Body of Christ. These are the plans, and as always we want to be open to the leading of the Spirit in everything. Therefore plans are subject to change. As always your prayers are desired. And, as always, if God should put it on your heart to be a part of this ministry financially, that is also welcome - as the Lord leads you, so do. As Moses called for those that were willing hearts to bring for the provision of the tabernacle, may God provide willing hearts to be a part of this work also. RAEL Update: Rael was seen by the doctors on December 6. She is still fighting infection. There was a lot of damage done when the first attempt at hip replacement failed. The doctor wanted to do surgergy right away but Rael wanted to put it off until January so that she could be home with family and fellowship with her church family during Christmas and school break. PLEASE pray for her and that God would meet the needs for this situation. The need for surgery and for medicine and all the things that are involved to get her able to walk and serve her family again. May God heal, and may HIS will be done. When I return in March, Pastor Juma Fredrick will be coming to the USA with me. He will spend some time in Kentucky, and in April will be in Iowa and Misssouri. We will be available for speaking and sharing with churches and groups. Some dates are filled already. You may contact through the website email at hereamiafrica@gmail.com if interested. On Sunday December 30 I will be in Lenox, IA at Country Roads Baptist Church. If you are in the Lenox area, come and hear what God is doing. Then on January 6 I will be at Rolling Meadows Christan Church in Odessa, MO. You are all welcome to come. If you or your organization want to hear from us, you may contact us through our website at hereamiafrica.com, or through Facebook . Like and share our page on Facebook to stay updated. I will be posting from Africa as I can, and I’ll possibly do a live feed from there if it should work out. Please keep me (David) and HERE AM I Ministries in your prayers. God Bless you as you seek HIS will for your life. Be a blessing and be blessed. Isiah 6:8
